Welcome to the online version of the Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold 2007 Working Toward Sustainable Development Report, “A World of Commitments.” This report covers the economic, environmental and social performance of the new Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold – created by our acquisition in March 2007 of Phelps Dodge Corporation. This website includes links on the left side of the page to each section of the Working Toward Sustainable Development Report plus links to related policies, case studies and downloadable versions of the full report and the PTFI report (in English and Indonesian). In addition, we provide a link to the company’s Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) report – a companion report that follows the GRI sustainability reporting framework, including the mining and metals sector supplement.
